Ukulele 4 Beginners Program

 

The ukulele is a brilliant first instrument for beginners young & old.

 

Join the latest ukulele “craze” & learn to play your favourite songs in no time in our 4 week adult courses for absolute beginners! Absolutely no experience is necessary & we guarantee you will be strumming multiple songs before the end of your first session!

 

During the 4 week intensive program (2 hours/week) you will learn:

  • all the important parts of the ukulele & how to tune your uke
  • simple chords & some tricky chords (major/minor/dominant 7th chords)
  • how to read chord charts
  • different strumming techniques
  • a repertoire of popular songs (with a variety of chords) 
  • the most common chord progressions used in popular songs

 

.... and hopefully have a lot of fun getting in touch with your musical spirit!

 

As your left hand/right hand coordination and mind/muscle memory improve you will soon be playing your favourite songs with style!

Course Info

  • No prior musical or instrumental experience is necessary

  • Attendance is on an enrolment basis only - the enrolment fee is $100

  • BYO ukulele - beginners ukes usually cost around $25-$30 (e.g. Ashton or Mahalo brands).

  • Course materials & song sheets are provided

  • A minimum of 6 participants must be enrolled before a course commences.
