SLIGHTLY PLUCKED UP!
The leadership team at Making Music 4 Life formed a uke-crazy quintet pre-Covid fuelled by friendship and a shared passion for playing the ukulele. Having played together for more than a decade as Lightly Strung Orchestra ukesters, we decided that 2024 was high time we literally pulled our finger out and shared our Slightly Plucked Up music with you!
Our performances are a reflection of our friendship, with heartfelt tunes and feel good vibes shared between five friends doing what we love.
Be prepared for a totally plucking good time with the usual shenanigans from Janine, Owen, Anne, Jenny & Janet! We hope you can join us and be a part of a Slightly Plucked Up experience soon!

On 7 April 2024, SPU had the absolute privilege of collaborating with Hawaiian-based ukulele artist Cynthia Lin for her one and only show DOWN UNDER at The Independent Theatre in North Sydney!
With over half a million dedicated & diverse fans on YouTube, it's fair to say the audience AND members of SPU were feeling a little bit star struck!
Cynthia's rich and effortless vocals were like a warm embrace, and her inventive and minimalist performances on the ukulele were sublime.
