Founded by Janine Shearer on Sydney's Northern Beaches, Making Music 4 Life spent more than 20 years bringing people together through the joy of music.
From our earliest music programs to our vibrant community ensembles, our mission was always to inspire a lifelong love of music, connection and creativity.
As you'll discover in the timeline below, we've been incredibly fortunate to share our passion for music with thousands of people of all ages, creating wonderful memories, friendships and musical experiences along the way.
While our community programs have come to an end, we hope the music continues to live on in everyone who has been part of our journey.

A New Creative Chapter
Following the conclusion of Making Music 4 Life's community music programs, founder Janine Shearer continues her musical journey through original composition, with a growing focus on creating music for film and releasing her own original works.

Making Music 4 Life was founded, created and lovingly nurtured by Janine Shearer, whose passion for bringing people together through music has been at the heart of everything we've done.
Over more than two decades, Janine developed and led a diverse range of music programs, workshops, community ensembles and performances, inspiring thousands of people of all ages to discover the joy of making music together.
What began as a personal passion grew into a vibrant musical community, filled with friendships, laughter, creativity and countless memorable experiences.
